Privatis Technology Corporation was awarded a runner up plaque in the category of Tech Companies-To-Watch, at the Technologies Fast 50™ awards presented by Deloitte.

Held on November 13th, 2013 at Boneta Restaurant in Gastown, Technologies Fast 50™ is a Canada-wide initiative that ranks the country’s 50 fastest-growing technology companies over four distinct categories based on percentage revenue growth over five years. Categories include; Technology Fast 50™ Ranking, Companies-to-Watch Awards, Leadership Awards and Deloitte Technology Green 15™ Awards.

The room was filled with top management of Vancouver’s fastest growing companies and delicious canapés were served as the awards ceremony commenced over a sit down 3 course dinner. Kari Lockhart, Deloitte BC Technology, Media & Telecommunications Industry Leader, took the stage thanking everyone and articulating that helping small companies grow faster is their top priority. Deloitte was happy to celebrate the best of the best in British Columbia and those who contribute to prosperity.

As a result of increased activity in the start-up sphere, Deloitte recognized a record 14 Companies-to-Watch winners Canada wide this year. Privatis was happy to be called to accept the finalist award for companies to watch, right behind the winning company in this category; Hootsuite.

The top honours went to a Vancouver based company Quick Mobile, the winner of Technology Fast 50™ ranking for 2013. This is a second win for the company, as their revenue growth was higher than the average of 832% for the list. The fact that so many winners were Vancouver based can be considered a reflection of achievements within a consistent growth of British Columbia’s technology sector.

As for Privatis, we are happy to have landed on a list that encompasses being a potential future Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ candidate and hope to be back next year! When we sat down with Deloitte in July, CEO Steven McAuley discussed the growth of the company, branding, financing, staff, challenges, immediate priorities, long term goals and explained why Privatis decided to be based out of Vancouver.
